Understanding Intelligent Design
I wish I could say that I enjoyed the beginning of this week, but I did not. We woke up and picked up trash for three hours. Then, because I did not finish all of my work, I did not get to attend Mystery Monday. I raked leaves in the Donyes yard for two hours, but I got what I deserved! Tuesday morning made up for it though! Sean McDowell spoke to us for two days and really made my head start to spin. The first hour, he acted as an atheist and we got to ask questions. Sean blew our minds of course because he is so intelligent on both topics. He asked us the question, “Are we accidental by-products of blind forces in nature? Or are we the pinnacle of creation intended by a personal and loving God?”
Next, we talk about worldviews. Every worldview answers three questions: Origin, Predicament, and Resolution. This is played out in every day such as movies. Sean gave us practical ways to prove the Bible is true. There are a couple tests you can run, but here are a few:

-Peter denies Jesus
-Jesus calls Peter Satan
-James & John want to reign with Jesus
-Disciples do not understand Jesus’ teachings
-Women discover the empty tomb
-Death of the apostles

How many manuscripts do we have? 23,000. That is more than any other old and popular manuscript!

Lastly, Chad Hampsch answered some apologetic question we had written down with Scripture and truth. He said that there are four things that we funnel our decision making through: Tradition, Reason, Experience, and Emotion.
